Week 6-Really?!?

Can you believe how fast this term has gone? There has been so much energy and excitement in all of our studios, it is an absolute pleasure to visit classes as well as teach my own. When I am out visiting I can’t help but get excited about the contribution that the students will make to our year end shows. It is wonderful to see how all children are engaging in class activities with enthusiasm, and really giving a hundred percent. This creates such a bubble of excitement in my tummy as I think about how we, and our teachers get the opportunity to play a part in the creation of some pretty fabulous memories!! Our year end shows are such an exciting and inspiring time – a time where we get to “show off” our wonderful students. If the last few weeks are any indication, our year end shows will be AMAZING!! I am looking forward to continued enthusiasm as we finish this term, and can’t wait for our Term 4 and the adventure that we get to go on together.

ABC3 Shoot – Extras Needed!

Posted by: | Connect with me on Facebook

Hi all, I have been approached by Esther from ABC3 who is making a TV series called 3ON3. In it the presenter, Kayne Tremills, travels around to places across Australia meeting young people and discovering some fantastic activities that they like to do.

They are filming with a band called Nosey Parker at the YMCA HQ at Leederville tomorrow, Tuesday, night. They need as many extras as possible for the audience, to make Perth look as incredible as possible for the series.  If you or your child are between the ages of 10 and 20 you can go along from 7.15pm to 8.30pm tomorrow (Tuesday 21st). The extras will appear as part of the crowd on TV, some people will get speaking parts and everyone can meet the presenter, Kayne.

If any parents would like to chat to Esther about it, they can call her on 0416 365 242. The event is also on YMCA HQ’s Facebook page.

Let us know all about the experience if you are able to make it there!

Quinns goes Cruising!

A big thank you to all of our Quinns Studio parents and students for their flexibility last Thursday. After receiving a very late call that the Gumblossom Community Centre was unavailble for us to use, the students all rallied and turned up to our temporary venue at the Butler Community Centre.

The late move did not dampen the students spirit and as you can see from the photos, the Upper Primary Class had a fantastic time whilst “Cruising the Night Away!”

Classes will be back at the Gumblossom Centre next week!

See you in class soon!
