Hi everyone,

We just wanted to share how much fun we have been having in the Eastern Suburbs studios in Term 3 as well as learning lots of things at the same time! Learning is always so much easier if it is fun! If you would like to come and join in, give us a call. We look forward to seeing you in class very soon!

Let the Show Commence!

Students in our Upper Primary classes this week are participating in an improvisation that takes them back stage before a school production. Amongst the nerves, last minute rehearsals, lost costumes and general excitement the show must go on!

Here, some students from our Duncraig Upper Primary class are preparing back stage. Will the show be ready to go on stage? Will all  of the costumes be finished in time?  Of course they will!

It was a great success! See you in class soon.

Public Performance

It was Hillcrest Primary School’s Fete and the dark clouds and thunderstorms were proving the weatherman correct. Nevertheless, we were committed and the kids from the Dianella studio turned up as promised, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, eager to put on a show for a live audience. Kitted up in new costumes specially made for the day, the rains held and the sun’s rays peeked through as everyone took up positions for the first section of the performance .  All went smoothly, with everyone remembering their lines from last term and holding their tone and pitch. despite the urge to shout above the background noise.

Then it was on to the play – Ulysses and the Sirens. With props, costumes and Mother Nature’s contribution of gusty winds! It would have been nice to have microphones suspended at choice locations within the gazebo, but under the circumstances the children’s voice projection, although challenged, was very good.

In the end, we all had a ball, the audience seemed to appreciate the efforts and performance and flyers were handed out to parents and friends around the school. Well done, kids! You were all fabulous!

Quinns goes Cruising!

A big thank you to all of our Quinns Studio parents and students for their flexibility last Thursday. After receiving a very late call that the Gumblossom Community Centre was unavailble for us to use, the students all rallied and turned up to our temporary venue at the Butler Community Centre.

The late move did not dampen the students spirit and as you can see from the photos, the Upper Primary Class had a fantastic time whilst “Cruising the Night Away!”

Classes will be back at the Gumblossom Centre next week!

See you in class soon!
